Aernout van Haarst has over 25 years of drug development experience at biotechnology companies as well as CROs. This experience includes designing drug development strategies through Proof-of-Concept as well as hands-on experience in the design and conduct of early-stage clinical studies across a breadth of therapeutic areas.

In 2015, Aernout joined Celerion. As Senior Director of Scientific Affairs, he provides scientific, operational and strategic support for clinical pharmacology studies. He also is a subject matter expert in Celerion’s respiratory research team and supports a broad range of drug development programs of Celerion’s clients.

Aernout received his PhD from the School of Medicine at Leiden University and qualified as a Clinical Pharmacologist in The Netherlands.
